Tokyo sorprende tra montagna e mare, verde incontaminato, acque cristalline e le nuove frontiere del "glamping" l'accoglienza a cinque stelle tra "glamour" e "camping".

Chi avrebbe mai pensato che Tokyo potesse essere uno dei luoghi migliori per passare un'estate rilassante, all'insegna dello sport e della natura?

La capitale del Giappone è, un po' in modo stereotipato, conosciuta come megalopoli ultramoderna, dove tradizione e innovazione si coniugano forgiando sempre nuovi stili e nuove tendenze, dalla moda alla robotica, dal design alla gastronomia. Se questo può essere vero nell'area più centrale della città, i 23 quartieri speciali detti "ku" in giapponese, il territorio extraurbano, conosciuto anche come Grande Area di Tokyo, sa stupire con inaspettata abbondanza di paesaggi naturalistici, che spaziano dal montuoso al marino, includendo anche una vista desertica e un sito nella lista dei Patrimoni dell'Umanità per carattere naturale. Per conoscere bene Tokyo suggeriamo di non perdere uno o più dei seguenti itinerari che possono aggiungere uno spazio di avventura e natura nel prossimo viaggio a Tokyo.

L'area di Tama è una vasta zona a carattere principalmente verde di oltre 1.000 kilometri quadrati che comprende alcune zone di interesse naturalistico e sportivo.

Il Monte Takao è sicuramente una delle attrazioni dell'area di Tama più conosciute e frequentate: circa 2,6 milioni di turisti all'anno lo scalano ed è un'attrazione segnalata con 3 stelle nella Guida Michelin, al pari del Monte Fuji. Ospita un museo che tratta delle risorse naturalistiche della zona, il Takao 599 Museum, un centro termale dove rilassarsi dopo la "fatica" della scalata, il Keio Takaosan Onsen Gokurakuyu, oltre ad attrattive stagionali con il beer garden estivo dove rilassarsi con una fresca birra, e i suoi paesaggi sono famosi per le distese di foglie rosse.

Spingendosi un po' più in là ad ovest, a circa un'ora e mezza di treno da Shinjuku nella zona più remota di Tama, Okutama, si trovano paesaggi immersi di natura come quelli del fiume Tama, e della Gola di Mitake, dove gli amanti degli sport possono dedicarsi al rafting, canyoneering o river boogie-boarding.

Nell'area di Okutama si sta sviluppando la nuova moda del glamping, il nuovo concept che unisce il lusso con il campeggio. Ad esempio, Circus Outdoor di NOX Intervillage, che a partire da marzo 2018 svilupperà la sua prima struttura permanente nell'area di Tama, unisce il concetto di glamour e di camping, offrendo proprio gli stessi lussi di hotel esclusivi in combinazione con attività uniche: un servizio di ristorazione con un cuoco di alta classe che prepara i piatti di fronte agli ospiti, tende arredate a sfarzo con pavimentazione di tappeti, caccia al tesoro, falò serali e lezioni di yoga nella foresta. Quale miglior rifugio dal caos della città, immerso nel silenzio e circondato dalle stelle splendenti?

A sud di Tokyo si estende una serie di oltre 100 isole di varie dimensioni che si suddividono un due piccoli arcipelaghi, quello di Izu, quello più vicino a Tokyo, e l'arcipelago di Ogasawara, il più remoto.

L'isola più grande delle Izu, Oshima, è la più vicina a Tokyo tra tutte e offre una temperatura mite nell'arco di tutto l'anno, dista solo poco meno di due ore di nave da Tokyo. L'isola è famosa per l'olio di camelia, ottimo sia come cosmetico sia per uso alimentare, pianta che è stata diffusa nell'isola dagli abitanti per difendersi dai venti del mare. L'isola è una delle più urbanizzate ma nasconde un luogo dall'atmosfera quasi lunare: lo Urasabaku (lett. "il deserto nascosto"), l'unica zona desertica di tutto il Giappone, che si cela proprio dietro il Monte Mihara.

L'isola di Niijima offre alcune delle spiagge più bianche dell'arcipelago ed è nota tra i surfisti. Nel mare che la circondano i gli appassionati di immersioni amano osservare megattere, mante e tartarughe marine. In giro per l'isola si trovano anche strutture gratuite per barbeque all'aperto e vasche termali gratuite e all'aria aperta, un vero parco giochi per gli amanti della natura.

L'isola di Hachijojima, raggiungibile in areo in 55 minuti da Haneda, è famosa per le sue sette sorgenti termali, di cui 3 gratuite e le altre quattro accessibili per un modico contributo che si aggira tra i 300 e i 500 yen (2,5 – 4 euro circa).

L'arcipelago delle Isole Ogasawara è il più distante da Tokyo, a circa 1.000 km di distanza, comprende circa 30 isole ed è stato inserito nella Lista dei Patrimoni dell'Umanità per carattere naturalistico dal 2011. Le isole sono caratterizzate da una natura endemica che mostra il processo evolutivo dell'ecosistema isolano.

Le tre isole più importanti sono Chichi-jima (l'"isola padre"), la più grande e più ricca di fauna, come i delfini nel mare circostante, tartarughe verdi e pipistrelli giganti. Haha-jima (l'"isola madre") è la seconda più grande, ed essendo più isolata è anche meno frequentata. Infine, Minami-jima (l'"isola del sud") è una piccola isola carsica ad accesso limitato a 100 persone al giorno per preservarne la natura incontaminata.

The longest podium in Ukraine was set on the raid mole of the Vorontsov Lighthouse
With each new season, Odessa Fashion Week strives to amaze the scale of the show and unusual locations - and for the jubilee V season of the Perwoll Odessa Fashion Week Cruise, the organizers of the fashion week built a longest podium in Ukraine at the raid mole of the Vorontsov lighthouse with a length of 612 meters.
July 15, with the support of the Administration of the Odessa seaport on the raid mole of the Vorontsov Lighthouse held a grand parade 80 models in the clothing of the best Odessa designers from Miss DM, Irina Siryk, Elen Godis, Tomashevsky & Storge, Zhanna Klimova, Falleen 218 By Glib Kislovskyi , N`art and Elena Guranda.
During this Grand Show representative for the National Registry of Records of Ukraine Dmitry Yaitsky he recorded a record of Ukraine and said that "for the last time, it was the most pleasant and beautiful record, a great idea and fashion-show took place at a very high level"
Organizer Odessa Fashion Week Zarina Semenyuk shared that "until the last day was not known or the record will be held. Despite the fact that the preparation for the show started 8 months, technical and maintenance work on the offshore jetty Vorontsov Lighthouse, as well as adverse weather conditions actually left one day for the construction of the longest catwalk in Ukraine. "

is prepared to set a record for Ukraine

At the height of the tourist season on July 15-17, the professional fashion week Perwoll Odessa Fashion Week Cruise will be held; on its first jubilee 5th season it will gather fashion connoisseurs for the demonstration of Ukrainian and foreign designers cruise collections.
On July 15, under auspice of the Odessa Sea Port Administration, a grandiose fashion show Amazonka and Royal Family agencies will take place at the Vorontsov lighthouse raid mole where demonstrated will be clothes of Ukrainian designers from Miss Dm, Irina Siryk, Elen Godis, Tomashevsky & Storge, Zhanna Klimova, Falleen 218 By Glib Kislovskyi, N`art and Elena Guranda. During this Grand Show, representatives of the National Register of Records of Ukraine will fix a record: "The longest podium in Ukraine".
The Odessa Fashion Week organizer Zarina Semenyuk notes that "the main goal of setting the record of Ukraine is to popularize the Vorontsov Lighthouse as the main attraction and symbol of Odessa as well as to attract attention of the top Ukrainian and international press to this event participants and partners”

A solemn Perwoll Odessa Fashion Week Cruise opening ceremony will take place on the ship "Hadzhibey", from the upper deck the attendees will have a wonderful view of the Odessa sea port and the Vorontsov lighthouse. The ceremony will be presented by the permanent anchor Anastasia Satsyuk, and the music program will include performances by: the Odessa jazz diva Anastasia Bukina, the first Junior Eurovision Song Contest participant from Belarus Olga Satsyuk and young rock singer Anna Morgun.
July 16-17, the main cruise season shows will be held in the beach complex Mafia Rave Terrace, located in the most beloved zone of Odessa, on the Black Sea coast in the famous Otrada. Berdyansk Fashion Day

Almost on the start of the holiday season "the heart of Azov" - Berdyansk became the real capital of high fashion. On the sea coast in the stunning location of the hotel "Sun Resort" was a professional fashion day. Guests of the second season of the "Berdyansk Fashion Day" were shown collections of the Fall-Winter season 2017-2018. Seven talented designers from different corners of Ukraine: Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa presented more than 100 new and creative images .
The second season of "Berdyansk Fashion Day" was opened by the Kiev designer, Gurgen Vardikyan (brand VARDIKYAN). His collection entitled "In Search of Picasso" reveals the life and work of Pablo Picasso. In the cut and color range of clothes, Gurgen Vardikian used the artist's main palette and the motives of his most famous works. Fashionable images are made using high-strength woolen yarn, coats and cotton. All products are connected solely by hand seams, decorated with beads, overhead sewing and braid. Closed heads of models symbolize the secret of Picasso - a constant search for the mysterious muse.
As the basis for the autumn-winter collection 2017-1018, the Odessa designer Alexander Kapsamun (brand KAPSAMUN) took birds and snakes. Two absolutely different themes are present in the collection not by chance. Thus, Alexander Kapsamun emphasized the contrast between men's and women's clothing. Its main distinguishing feature is monochrome. At the same time, the designer used a special texture: bright elements and an unusual combination of fabrics. Such contrasts repeat the feathering of birds and the coloration of snakes.
Kharkov designers Julia Drozdek and Alexei Sobolev (brand Platie)
Demonstrated a collection of "Dura, I'm a fool." Designers noted that when creating clothes they use and connect different techniques, for example, patchwork and borax. The collection "Stupid, I'm Stupid" is an ironic look at fashion, which dictates that the appearance is a continuation of human emotions. Holders of images from Platie do not tend to seem smarter or more serious, they want to receive joy and enjoyment from life. Platie is a brand new Ukrainian brand of casual clothes for outstanding people.
Designer from Odessa Alexandru Musteata (brand «Royal Family») in his collection embodied the postulate that it is fashionable and stylish to dress everyone, regardless of gender and age. The Alexandru collection is created for men and women, children and teenagers. According to the designer, he is very fond of working with complex fabrics, combining seemingly completely different textures. Nevertheless, it is in this combination that beautiful things are born for people of different ages. In the first place Alexander Mustyatsa puts "wearability" of things.
Designer Victoria Bugrim (brand Bugrim atelier) presented two collections "Family Look" and "Nature". The first line of clothing is a cheerful surge of emotions. A festive tone is given by multi-colored fabrics and a vivid drawing. All fashionable images are made using a natural cottage. The purpose of the collection is to show that it is fashionable to dress brightly and festively in everyday life. The second collection of Victoria Bugrim, shown on the "Berdyansk Fashion Day", consisted of 17 bows. For the basis of each designer took a linen dress from satin (composition of 15% cotton), and on top - a translucent cape of gauze, which gives the image a light romance. The cardigan and coat of wool of the autumn-winter season 2017-1018 are decorated with stylized embroidery. The line of clothing is complemented by hand-made jewelry and long beads. Such accessories give the collection a light charm, focusing on sensuality and femininity.
Collection designer Lydia Zakharchenko (brand Zahara) combines in itself
Strength and confidence with ease and originality. The new clothing line, shown on the "Berdyansk Fashion Day", is a new image that the designer was looking for. At the heart of the found style is the strong side of a woman's life. Lidia Zakharchenko specializes in using natural fabrics. For example, clothes from this collection are colored with onion husks, so the new line from Zahara is saturated with sand, light beige and desert shades. Lydia Zakharchenko views clothes as a shell that separates and simultaneously connects man and nature. "The shell for me is not something artificial, it's part of the living, although sometimes it just looks like a shell In this collection, the interaction of clothing with light, which somehow penetrates through the "shell", is important. For me, it's important how clothes absorb or reflect light, it speaks about the quality of clothes, "Lidia Zakharchenko said.
The second season of "Berdyansk Fashion Day" ended with a show of a stunning collection of wedding dresses from designer Marga Makhmudova (brand MargaM atelier). "Each of us has his" perfect "dress, which is not exactly in the wedding mass market" - accentuates Marg Makhmudov. Accessories in her wedding dresses (belts and ribbons) of the color of the sea wave. Thus, the designer stressed the place of the fashion show - the sea coast.
Make up for the models of the second season of "Berdyansk Fashion Day" made make-up artists, MAKE UP SCHOOL graduates Marina Laer. The team of stylists MALINO BEAUTY CLUB created more than 100 hairstyles, which were perfectly emphasized by luxurious images. On the podium they were embodied by the models of the agency "SeaModels". Andrei Galitsyn became the speaker of the second season of "Berdyansk Fashion Day". Designer Victoria Bugrim (brand Bugrim atelier) presented two collections "Family Look" and "Nature". The first line of clothing is a cheerful surge of emotions. A festive tone is given by multi-colored fabrics and a vivid drawing. All fashionable images are made using a natural cottage. The purpose of the collection is to show that it is fashionable to dress brightly and festively in everyday life. The second collection of Victoria Bugrim, shown on the "Berdyansk Fashion Day", consisted of 17 bows. For the basis of each designer took a linen dress from satin (composition of 15% cotton), and on top - a translucent cape of gauze, which gives the image a light romance. The cardigan and coat of wool of the autumn-winter season 2017-1018 are decorated with stylized embroidery. The line of clothing is complemented by hand-made jewelry and long beads. At the heart of the found style is the strong side of a woman's life. Lidia Zakharchenko specializes in using natural fabrics. For example, clothes from this collection are colored with onion husks, so the new line from Zahara is saturated with sand, light beige and desert shades. Lydia Zakharchenko views clothes as a shell that separates and simultaneously connects man and nature. "The shell for me is not something artificial, it's part of the living, although sometimes it just looks like a shell In this collection, the interaction of clothing with light, which somehow penetrates through the "shell", is important. For me, it's important how clothes absorb or reflect light, it speaks about the quality of clothes, "Lidia Zakharchenko said.
The second season of "Berdyansk Fashion Day" ended with a show of a stunning collection of wedding dresses from designer Marga Makhmudova (brand MargaM atelier). "Each of us has his" perfect "dress, which is not exactly in the wedding mass market" - accentuates Marg Makhmudov. Almost on the start of the holiday season "the heart of Azov" - Berdyansk became the real capital of high fashion. On the sea coast in the stunning location of the hotel "Sun Resort" was a professional fashion day. Guests of the second season of the "Berdyansk Fashion Day" were shown collections of the Fall-Winter season 2017-2018. Seven talented designers from different corners of Ukraine: Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa presented more than 100 new and creative images .
The second season of "Berdyansk Fashion Day" was opened by the Kiev designer, Gurgen Vardikyan (brand VARDIKYAN). His collection entitled "In Search of Picasso" reveals the life and work of Pablo Picasso. In the cut and color range of clothes, Gurgen Vardikian used the artist's main palette and the motives of his most famous works. Fashionable images are made using high-strength woolen yarn, coats and cotton. All products are connected solely by hand seams, decorated with beads, overhead sewing and braid. Closed heads of models symbolize the secret of Picasso - a constant search for the mysterious muse.
As the basis for the autumn-winter collection 2017-1018, the Odessa designer Alexander Kapsamun (brand KAPSAMUN) took birds and snakes. Two absolutely different themes are present in the collection not by chance. Thus, Alexander Kapsamun emphasized the contrast between men's and women's clothing. Its main distinguishing feature is monochrome. At the same time, the designer used a special texture: bright elements and an unusual combination of fabrics. Such contrasts repeat the feathering of birds and the coloration of snakes.

Demonstrated a collection of "Dura, I'm a fool." Designers noted that when creating clothes they use and connect different techniques, for example, patchwork and borax. The collection "Stupid, I'm Stupid" is an ironic look at fashion, which dictates that the appearance is a continuation of human emotions. Holders of images from Platie do not tend to seem smarter or more serious, they want to receive joy and enjoyment from life. Platie is a brand new Ukrainian brand of casual clothes for outstanding people.

His Muse , a love story , mystery and passion are embodied in the image of the heroine collection VARDIKYAN "inspired By Picasso" . It will present 27 may as part of Berdyansk Fashion Day at the hotel Sun Resort located on the shore of the Azov sea . The fashionable capital of the south-eastern region of Ukraine again took Odessa Fashion Week. On March 22, on the eve of the opening of the fashion week, a fashion conference was held on the theme "How to build a fashion business in Ukraine", moderated by Dasha Zarivnaya, former editor-in-chief L'Officiel-online, Dmitry Domanoff, designer Clothes; Cath Johnson, Admissions Officer, University of the Arts London & London College of Communication; Alla Lisogor, image-designer, teacher of Ukrainian Fashion Academy; Galina Moskvina, stylist, art director of Business Zavarnik; Maria Reznikova, founder of the international project Follow The Fabrika; Alexei Nityagovsky, the founder of BWSconsulting.
Also on March 22, the editorial staff of the Ukrainian Fashion Academy, the main information partner of the Fashion Week, organized a special party for the pre-party Odessa Fashion Week in the restaurant of Italian cuisine Tagliatelle. The guests of the party were waited by incendiary dances from show ballet LIGHT, a bright set performed by one of the most popular Ukrainian DJs VIVA DIOR and unique photo-zones from The Bloom event & design agency, where every woman of fashion could feel herself a real covergirl. The editor-in-chief of the magazine and part-time organizer Odessa Fashion Week Zarina Semenyuk honored famous models, business ladies and even successful men - those who appeared on the winter and spring covers of the magazine: Umed Kuchkaliev, Kotikova Kristina, Martinenko Anastasia, Anna Stolyarova, Alena Shuba, Tatyana Kul, Victoria Mironova.
The main prize of the evening is a certificate for a 50% discount on the Fashion Styling & Image making course in the Ukrainian Fashion Academy, as well as gifts from the owner of the Italian restaurant Tagliatelle Anna Stolyarova and prizes from the general partners of the event: professional British cosmetics for hair care JOHN FRIEDA, chocolate Workshop KISS chocolaterie and shoe company Grand Style went to the most fashionable and educated guests of the party.
On March 23, the grand opening of the Odessa Fashion Week of the FW 2017-18 season took place at the favorite venue of the fashionable public of the city - the Luxury Concert Hall "Sady Pobedy", the main hall of which was converted to a professional venue for a fashion show with an additional 25-meter LED podium and a special Light equipment. Before the show, the organizer of the fashion week Zarina Semenyuk, the director of the Diplomatic Club Anatoly Popov and the partner of the project Nadezhda Yashan, who presented Zarina Semenyuk with gratitude from the Minister of Culture of Ukraine for promoting the fashion industry in the region, the popularization of the fashion industry, the opening and support of young designers .
As part of the opening of the fashion week, the guests were delighted with the performances of the singer and fashionista who together with the leading evening Anastasia Satsyuk shone in the adornments of the official partner of the event of the jewelry company Thomas Sabo: the fascinating Anastasia Bukina, whose voice makes the heart of even the most sophisticated listener die, opened the solemn part; Also guests were waited by fashion-vocal, electronic music combined with a string duet, and the presentation of a new video "There you" from the winner of the television project "Factory of stars 4" ULI RUD, and at the end of the evening on the podium Odessa Fashion Week appeared Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar singer, Honored Artist of Crimea, incendiary LENARA. All designers participating in the Odessa Fashion Week were awarded with diplomas, flower partners of the fashion week, the cottage settlement "Pine Coast" and the boutique Divo original bouquets prepared designer bouquets for the participants, and the "Peace Wines" Trade House treated them with noble drinks. RISEMAP: Ethical Fashion Initiative launches supply chain traceability and transparency platform with Sourcemap, March 2017.


In March 2017, the International Trade Centre’s Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI) and Sourcemap launch an online traceability platform, RISEMAP. Developed in collaboration with Sourcemap, the go- to experts in supply chain mapping, RISEMAP aims to map the complexity of supply chains and visually showcase the production process through the use of photos and videos. RISEMAP is an expansion of EFI’s impact assessment system which measures the economic, environmental and social impact of orders placed by fashion brands in community groups of artisans. With transparency being an important step to building a fairer and more sustainable fashion industry, EFI is excited to share their supply chain with the public and contribute to shedding light to realities of the economic and social development in the countries it operates in.

Developing RISEMAP represents EFI’s efforts to further expand consumer understanding on the complexity of supply chains and encourage consumers to ask questions about the production process of goods they buy (who made them? With what materials? Were workers paid and treated fairly?) As such RISEMAP pushes consumers and brands to become accountable for the purchase and production of goods.

A RISEMAP is created for each collection that a brand produces with EFI and can be accessed through the Quick Response code (QR code) displayed on product tags and through EFI’s website. For the launch of RISEMAP, EFI has first focused on developing maps for its project in Kenya. Six RISEMAPS have been created for the following brands: Vivienne Westwood, Karen Walker, Mimco and sass & bide. In addition, a map presenting EFI’s network of artisan communities in Kenya has also been developed, providing consumers an overview of its current network of artisans. Throughout
2017, EFI will continue to expand the RISEMAP platform, including more collections and more countries.

Unless you’re familiar with Greek fashion, you’d be forgiven for not knowing the name Celia Kritharioti, but in Greece, this couture house, based in the heart of Athens and founded by her ancestors has been a respected name since 1906, which makes it three years older than Chanel. That’s some history. But this couture season marks a first for Celia as she fulfills her lifelong dream of showing on the couture calendar, choosing the gilded surroundings of the Salon Vendome in The Ritz for the occasion, no less.
The designer opened with a series of short cocktail dresses, from an ivory long-sleeved French lace number with stand up collar, to others in blushed pink delicately scattered with ostrich feathers. If those were innocent and romantic, others were all-out racy, featuring bare backs and dazzling in looped beaded strands, diamante fringes and glittering chain-mail. Floral appliqués also served to flaunt the skills of this Greek couture house, so too intricate embroideries, dramatic one-shouldered flourishes and frothy ruffled capes.
It was a collection that served to fulfill every couture fantasy – whatever that might be; a girlish spaghetti-strap bouncy-skirted ballgown was deliciously sweet, with its candy pink stripes and a giant bow tied at the side, while a see-through lace floor-skimmer with feathered sleeves and collar was raunchy and fierce. There was a creation for every heart’s desire.
Celia’s designs are already familiar with the likes of Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Lindsay Lohan and Gwyneth Paltrow, but no doubt with this collection – she will be scooping up more miles on the red carpet.

Tokyo: ecco i ciliegi in fiore, la città si mostra nel suo massimo splendore

Con l’arrivo dei primi cenni della primavera, Tokyo vi invita ad ammirare uno dei più longevi e importanti
simboli della cultura e tradizione giapponese, il fiore di ciliegio.
Il rito dello hanami (letteralmente “ammirare i fiori”) è una tradizione longeva che consiste nel trascorrere del tempo di qualità, bevendo e mangiando insieme ai propri cari, familiari oppure amici o, ancora, insieme ai colleghi di lavoro, seduti sotto gli alberi di ciliegio (in giapponese sakura) ad ammirarne i fiori, simbolo di bellezza effimera e al contempo della caducità del mondo reale che ci circonda.
Lo hanami, inizia gradualmente intorno a febbraio, con la più precoce fioritura dei pruni, e prosegue verso il suo picco con la fioritura dei ciliegi che annuncia l’arrivo ufficiale della primavera. Poiché il Giappone è un’isola molto lunga che comprende più fasce climatiche, il periodo di fioritura dei ciliegi varia in base alla regione geografica. A Tokyo questa si colloca verso tra fine marzo e gli inizi di aprile, sempre che condizioni metereologiche straordinarie non causino un anticipo o un ritardo sulle tempistiche.
Lo hanami è uno dei periodi dell’anno più importanti per il popolo giapponese, così importante che le televisioni e i giornali nazionali gli dedicano un servizio di previsioni quotidiano, alla stregua delle previsioni meteo. Per chi visita Tokyo in questo periodo, da non perdere sono i menù tematici e i dolci ispirati al fiore di ciliegio offerti da innumerevoli ristoranti e caffè della città, come quelli di KIHACHI, una pasticceria di alta classe con numerosi punti vendita in città che offre per questa primavera due dolci con fiori di ciliegio, il montblanc SAKURA e il verrine SAKURA.


Sebbene Tokyo sia famosa per la sua immagine di giungla di grattacieli, la città è anche sinonimo di natura. Tokyo abbonda infatti di luoghi dove ammirare la fioritura, tra cui il parco di Ueno, il fiume Megurogawa e molti altri. Se vi state chiedendo cosa vedere a Tokyo, ecco a seguire alcuni dei luoghi da non perdere in questa occasione, alcuni più conosciuti e altri tutti da scoprire.


Chidorigafuchi – l’antico fo ssato Edo e la passeg giata di ciliegi
Chidorigafuchi, nel quartiere di Chiyoda, è una passeggiata che si snoda per 700 metri lungo il fossato del Palazzo Imperiale, e il suo nome (lett. “fossato dei pivieri”) deriva dalla forma del fossato che ricorda quella di un piviere. È uno dei luoghi più famosi a Tokyo, raccogliendo più di un milione di visitatori ogni anno, dove è possibile ammirare i ciliegi in fiore con i suoi oltre 260 alberi appartenenti a numerose varietà di ciliegio. Durante la fioritura gode di un’illuminazione artificiale notturna che crea una leggendaria atmosfera.
Per la fioritura del 2017, sono previsti anche tour in inglese dedicati ai visitatori stranieri, tramite i quali sarà possibile accedere a punti scenografici normalmente non accessibili per scattare fotografie uniche o, ancora,


partecipare ad una cerimonia del tè tradizionale.

Rikugi-en – l’im perdibile cascata di petali di ciliegio
Rikugi-en (“il giardino dei sei princìpii”) è un giardino, capolavoro dell’epoca Edo, voluto dal quinto shogun Tsunayoshi Tokugawa in stile kaiyuu (lett. “circolare”), lo stile in cui la disposizione degli elementi del giardino ruota intorno ad un centro. Occorsero 7 anni per completarlo e presenta anche collinette e laghetti. Nel giardino c’è un ciliegio, simbolo della fioritura primaverile, alto 15 metri con una fronda ampia 20 metri, i cui rami durante la fioritura si tramutano in una cascata di petali di colore lievemente tendente al rosso.

Tokyo Midtown – la fioritura nel centro di Tokyo
Tokyo Midtown, il centro polifunzionale di 6 edifici composto da negozi, ristoranti, uffici, hotel e musei, costituisce una vera e propria città nella città. Si trova nel centro del distretto di Roppongi ed ospita, tra gli altri, il Suntory Museum of Art, il Ritz-Carlton Hotel e la Midtown Tower, uno degli edifici più alti di Tokyo con i suoi
248 metri di altezza.
Il Tokyo Midtown è una delle aree riqualificate più verdi di Tokyo. Proprio dietro al complesso, si cela un giardino giapponese, il parco Hinokicho, che un tempo era luogo in cui sorgeva una antica villa di un signore feudale e, accanto al parco, si trova il Midtown Garden che offre ancora più spazi verdi e una splendida fioritura durante il periodo primaverile, con circa 140 alberi di ciliegio e altri forma uno dei luoghi più verdi o meglio… rosa della città.

It is with great pleasure that MLF | MARIE-LAURE FLEISCH announces the joint exhibition Drawing Praxis, which presents the works and interventions by four artists: Nikolaus Gansterer, Katharina Hinsberg, Alain Huck, and Andrea Mastrovito. Rather than a common theme, what unites these artists is drawing – the technique at the core of their research –represented in diverse declinations such as performance, installation, and animation – both classic and digital.
Drawing is not only the oldest technique, but also the most intimate and direct form of artistic expression. From the very origins of our culture, the graphic sign has been the most immediate representation of our thought; it has developed through time, becoming flexible and adaptable by taking advantage of the appearance of new contexts. The fragmentation and the contamination between different genres, characteristic of the present day, has created a fertile terrain for drawing to be transposed from its traditional support and to be expressed fully through more unconventional techniques and mediums.


This exhibition proposes four different approaches which include the lines drawn by Alain Huck, which free themselves from their paper support to invade the surrounding spaces in Katharina Hinsberg's installation; the line is then transformed into action through Nikolaus Gansterer's maps and diagrams, and finally, it becomes alive in the video work of Andrea Mastrovito.
Alain Huck's compositions are presented as large windows opening onto a black and white world; a sterile and desolate land in which a profound state of anguish is reflected. For the exhibition, the artist has created two large format charcoal drawings on paper. With its dense, opaque sootiness, this material is ideal to express the sense of emptiness and uneasiness of the artist’s landscapes, in which plant lifeforms are caught up in impenetrable labyrinths. Gloomy and ashen, his scenes are visions of a world in decomposition, which conserve signs of mankind, whose desire for domination has resulted in ecological disasters, wars and a disfigured panorama. Complex and vulnerable architectural forms, through literary and cinematographic references, pose metaphorical questions about the world that surrounds us.


For Katharina Hinsberg, drawing is a means of conceptual exploration, a systematic reflection on the very act of drawing which is manifested through a diverse creative process. She experiments with the various possibilities of the graphic form, which then acquires physical volume, interacting with the surrounding architecture through a detailed work of incision, punching and scoring. For this exhibition, Katharina has conceived the site-specific installation Perceiden, a sort of wall drawing created by means of a drill. Near the end of summer, the Perseids – a group of shooting stars and part of the Perseus constellation – come into view. Fascinated by the phenomenon of meteoric showers and the legend that stars are born as holes in a membrane that covers the sky, Katharina applies paper stencils to the wall and “transfers” the design by drilling holes. Lines of holes are created, which wind around each other and overlap, creating clusters. The drawing is thus defined by the void created by the interstitial spaces on the surface, between the empty holes. No imagination nor description is needed as the viewer is free to interpret the sequences and intervals between the holes freely, creating mental associations through a series of fleeting forms.


In the work of Nikolaus Gansterer, the processes of thought, action and drawing are indissolubly interconnected and complementary. A flow of consciousness is transformed into gestures, interactions with objects, drawings, and formulae. His works represent a manifestation of syncretism between art and science, culture and nature, which aims to investigate their intrinsic connections by penetrating beyond the imaginary threshold that divides them. For Nikolaus, the gallery space becomes an arena for experimentation, where drawing is the result of a complex thought process that is developed and concretised through a series of performative actions. The aim is to create a conceptual representation of a mental mechanism in constant evolution. Graphs, blackboards, diagrams, maps and systems of signs, which apparently reference scientific theories, all become traces of their very existence, an ephemeral testimony which opens onto a horizon of hypothesis.


Since the very start of his career, Andrea Mastrovito has developed an interdisciplinary and transversal research strategy, reinventing drawing in dialogue with the exhibition space. Using innovative techniques, he was first known for his technique of superimposing cut-out and painted forms on canvas; he then progressed into a more three-dimensional environment, invading space with a proliferation of two dimensional figures. In 2007 he started experimenting with animation, creating the video work Robespierre, which is shown in this exhibition. This work is part of the series Manuale per giovani artisti, 22 self-portraits in which the artist portrays himself as Saint Francis in the act of performing senseless miracles. The work is inspired by the Greek myth Pygmalion and the theory of the philosopher Slavoj Žižek regarding the dynamics of construction – destruction which gives rise to the birth of a society. A pencil appears on the screen and starts to draw; a body takes form and delineates the figure of the artist which, when completed, takes hold of the pastel, breaks it and throws it into a jar. The creature is thus liberated from its creator by abandoning him. In the same way, the French Revolutionists liberated themselves from Robespierre, who was their former leader.


The themes of the shown works are varied, ranging from political-social reflexions and the observation of natural phenomena, to personal experiences with reference to cultural and historical events; they explore the condition of the production of drawing, its temporal aspects and the confines of the very technique.

ODESSA FASHION WEEK F/W 2017-18

22-26 March - One of the main professional fashion events of Odessa will be held in March 2017 in the concert hall "Sady Pobedy" (Victory Garden): the Odessa Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2017-18. This Show will impress with a multi-level programme, and it is essential for the development of the fashion industry in the Southeast region in particular and for Ukraine as a whole.

March 22 – An informative educational programme will be offered by successful insiders of the fashion industry. Master classes will be given by the main editors of fashion magazines, buyers, known stylists and clothing designers.

March 23 - The opening of Season IV of the Odessa Fashion Week 2017-18 will take place in the city's favorite place – the concert hall "Sady Pobedy". It is designed with an unusual mirrored catwalk that will be constructed into a professional platform for the actual fashion show with special lighting equipment. In addition to displays of famous Ukrainian and foreign designers, on that day, guests will listen to special musical guests, and gifts, promotions and numerous prizes offered by our partners, will be given away.

March 24-25 - The official programme will display collections of Ukrainian and foreign designers. The main musical programme will be performed by Odessa's "Premier Project" - it is a team of young people, working in various genres at the Pride Center. The group will perform solo works, duets, trios, even quartets.

March 26 – An international competition will be held for young designers - New Fashion Generation - along with the main event of the March 26 evening, this being the awards ceremony for all participants of the Odessa Fashion Week: designers and models, partners and sponsors, make-up artists, hairdressers and volunteers.

Throughout the day, from 23 to 26 March at Sady Pobedy, a Trade Fashion Zone will exhibit clothes, shoes and accessories by Ukrainian and foreign designers that every guest will be able to try on and purchase. There will also be photo opportunities and brand area activities from partners who have prepared treats and special gifts for all guests.

The main official partner is Afterparty, which throughout the day will organize entertainment for the participants and guests of the Fashion Week. Food will be available thanks to Odessa's Italian restaurant Tagliatelle, which is located in the heart of Odessa on the Ekaterinskaya Street.

MARATHON IN TOKYO – L’u n d ices ima Ma rato n a di Tokyo

Il 26 febbraio si tiene l’undicesima edizione dell’evento che attira atleti di livello mondiale, la Maratona di Tokyo. Quest’anno il percorso è rinnovato, con partenza davanti all’edificio del Governo Metropolitano di Tokyo e un percorso che scorrerà tra le tante tappe per Iidabashi, Nihombashi, Asakusa, Ginza per arrivare in fine alla Stazione di Tokyo. Le selezioni per partecipare si sono concluse ad agosto con più di 3 milioni di candidature, ma solo 26,370 sono i fortunati atleti che percorreranno il percorso, seimila maratoneti in più rispetto a quelli della scorsa edizione della Milano Marathon 2016.

UNIQUE EVENTS IN TOKYO – La corsa di Mario Kart, il treno-ostello e il covo ninja

Tokyo, si sa, è davvero unica nel suo genere. Nella grande metropoli orientale è possibile trovare davvero innumerevoli tipi di intrattenimento, dal più maestoso al più bizzarro.
Tutt’altro genere di corsa, quella che è possibile percorrere in go-kart travestiti come i personaggi del celebre videogioco Super Mario Kart con MariCAR, se in possesso di patente valida in Giappone. La corsa è un’attività che è possibile far durante tutto l’anno, noleggiando i veicoli per 12 ore e girando la città in libertà o, in alternativa, comprando un pacchetto tour guidato per visitare i più famosi punti di interesse della città, registrandoli magari con la GoPro Hero disponibile per il noleggio.
Per un’esperienza unica anche durante il pernottamento nella capitale del Giappone, a Tokyo si può dormire anche in treno! Utilizzato un tempo per collegare Tokyo con Hokkaido, il Train Hostel Hokutosei a Bakurocho, Nihombashi, è oggi un ostello per giovani e meno giovani ma, soprattutto, una location davvero unica dove pernottare.

FLOWER FESTIVALS IN TOKYO – il festival delle camelie e dei pruni

I primi timidi cenni di primavera si apprestano a far capolino anche a Tokyo, prima della famosa fioritura dei ciliegi che avverrà tra marzo e aprile.
Nel quartiere di Bunkyo, fino all’8 marzo sarà in scena la 59° edizione dello Ume Festival, il festival dei pruni, presso il santuario shintoista Yushimatenjin. Il santuario è famoso per la fioritura dei pruni sin dal periodo Edo e il festival raccoglie ogni anno circa 400 mila visitatori in un solo mese. Oltre alla possibilità di ammirare i boccioli bianchi dei 300 alberi di pruno nel giardino del tempio e assistere alla cerimonia del tè, ci sarà anche l’occasione di ammirare il trasporto dell’altare sacro in processione.
Ad Oshima, la più grande delle isole Izu, un piccolo arcipelago di isolette sotto la giurisdizione di Tokyo e a sole due ore di aliscafo dalla capitale, fervono i preparativi per il prossimo Tsubaki Festival, il festival della camelia, fiore simbolo dell’arcipelago. Per tutta la durata dei mesi di febbraio e di marzo, i prodotti della camelia come l’olio, ottimo in cucina e nella cosmesi, saranno in mostra, così come danze e
intrattenimenti tradizionali.
