INTESA SANPAOLO AND THE UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD
Oxford (UK), July 24, 2019 – Following an initial agreement of contribution and services, the University of Oxford, a world-leading centre of education and research, through its Saïd Business School, one of the highest ranking banking schools in the world, and Intesa Sanpaolo have agreed to enter into an enhanced relationship phase.
In order to emphasize the importance that the Bank gives to the promotion of Italian art, culture and heritage outside of Italy, Intesa Sanpaolo is sponsoring Last Supper in Pompeii, the exhibition opening today at the Ashmolean Museum.
The relationship between Intesa Sanpaolo and Oxford University is wide-ranging, covering many aspects beyond culture. Within Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, Intesa Sanpaolo supports the Centre for Corporate Reputation, an independent research centre aiming to understand how the reputations of organisations are created. In addition managers of the Bank follow the Centre’s Corporate Reputation and Executive Leadership Programme.
Carlo Messina, Intesa Sanpaolo’s CEO, is a member of the prestigious Chancellor’s Court of Benefactors, that celebrates and recognises Oxford’s most outstanding friends and supporters by offering them a greater understanding of the life and work of the University and the colleges. Intesa Sanpaolo’s collaboration with Oxford University includes research, Oxford-Intesa Sanpaolo MBA scholarships, as well as student engagement initiatives, while Intesa Sanpaolo’s Innovation Center nominates a representative to the University’s Circular Economy Lab’s Steering Committee.
The current agreement between Intesa Sanpaolo and Oxford University will continue until 2024.
