The artists on display: Lee Chong-sheng, Hsiao Chin, Dragon Huang, Yang Chi-yun, Lee Feng, Chen Chih-Lin, Chen Chien Da Ming. Since 1940s, the enlightenment and pioneer of abstract painting in Taiwan, Lee Chong-sheng, and his student Hsiao Chin, who is an internationally renowned, have revealed the main theme of this exhibition, “The Spiritual Value of Abstract Painting.” After the two predecessors, Dragon Huang started from the ancient Chinese characters and combined the image of Taiwanese aborigines and nature to create a “root-seeking painting.”
Yang Chi-yun refined the essence of calligraphy and performed the ultimate expression of abstraction with dynamic musicality.
From the human beings to Vientiane, Lee Feng displayed the natural sounds of the resonance of the universe inside and outside with a hearty splash. In particular, Chen Chih-Lin uses the western painting qualities to combine the characteristics of Eastern and Western paintings to develop a throbbing abstract spiritual landscape.
Chen Chien Da Ming observes the energy flow of hope and love from the world, and conveys charitable beliefs in warm colors. Seven artists connected the development of Taiwan’s abstract paintings, exhibited diverse and unique artistic spirit, and created high-quality spiritual values.
