ROTT Art and Music at the Milan Fashion Week
The international esteemed artist Lois Rottonara ROTT together with his daughter Susy Rottonara, musician and cultural ambassador, awarded on international level for her unique talent of performing simultaneously as soprano and pianist, have been protagonists of the cultural scene at the 16th edition of the luxury event Fashion Art and More at the Milan Fashion Week in the Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan. The exhibition of artworks by ROTT from the collection Haute Art Couture took place together with a fashion show with the artworks carried by models on runway and the music performance by Susy Rottonara, who opened the event with the famous aria Casta diva, as tribute to Maria Callas on her 100. birth anniversary. Fashion has always been a preferred subject in the art by ROTT and has been presented together with music as global cultural and artistic experience.
The music performance was meant to describe the style of ROTT’s art, that express vital energy and passion with strong colors in an innovative and experimental way, with pieces from the opera and classical repertoire by Puccini, Chopin, Liszt and Debussy also performed as fragments and put together as mixed by a DJ, connected by the common tone. That all is related to the typical features of ROTT’s art, as the split and the figures’ profile represent an undefined dimension between dream and reality to set a personal interpretation of the concept of beauty in fashion and in everyday life. Moreover, the concept of profile was presented as a contemporary issue, as most people deal with it every day using social and digital media.
The fashion show was concluded by Susy Rottonara carrying herself an artwork on runway with symphonic music from her contemporary opera The dream of Dolasila, awarded at the Global Music Awards.
The event was organized by brand manager Sabrina Spinelli and was much appreciated as unique fashion and art experience among Milan Fashion Week events.
