The Italo-Lebanese Cultural Institute (ICIL) presents “International Couture Fashion Show” introduced in ALTAROMA FASHION HUB calendar on January 27th – 6:30 P.M. in Prati Bus District official location. The “International Couture” fashion show is at its second edition and shows a collective of 4 International designers carefully selected by ICIL. Young and talented who come from different countries, some reveal their cultures and present on Altaroma’s catwalk real tailoring masterpieces achieved according to couture’s diktats. Evening gowns made by rich fabrics heightened with embroideries. International Couture is created and organized by ICIL Advisor Maria Christina Rigano in collaboration with Ramez Basmaji of “Fabusse”.
Daniela Danesi is the designer and the supervisor of all her collections, she creates and realizes couture gowns & pret à porter collections in her Atelier and in her own laboratories in Naples. Her clothes are mainly inspired by contemporary art and design.
The Couture spring/Summer 2019 collection presented at Altaroma is titled “Elegance in Bloom” or the flourish of elegance where Daniela Danesi recounts a journey in the history of women’s fashion. The inspiration starts from the fabulous years 50, whose sumptuous lines have given women an unmatched elegance which Daniela Danesi wanted to pay homage, with dresses recalling the Haute Couture of the past.
“Elegance in bloom” is made with light tulle fabrics embroidered with lace flowers applications in porcelain and silver-gray colors enhanced by the flower’s sequins in the colors of Limoges porcelain. Prints are made on impalpable organza fabrics that represents with black and white bouquets and gardens of watercolor flowers reminiscent of Monet’s paintings. The journey telling “Elegance in bloom” collection by Daniela Danesi continues with the 60s. Dresses with clean lines with gipsy touches that enhance the female body. Scarf prints, gardens or Japanese-inspired kimono souvenirs, hand-drawn flowers which give the woman a new femininity. The finale is dedicated to the present day where the most provocative lines, with the image of the Nude Look, are inebriated by embroidery with golden flashes reminiscent of fireworks, cobalt blue geometric brush strokes refined by applications of light flowers that look like butterfly wings in silk georgette. Do not miss the animalier and ostrich feathers. Following the journey through the time of the Daniela Danesi Collection Couture, the prints evolve becoming more aggressive, more geometrical and more colorful. The cuts and tailoring enhance femininity in all its eras and the joy of wearing elegant clothes on summer evenings in Capri, Positano or Monte-Carlo. Elegance in Bloom represents a historical path of Italian haute couture and therefore the concept of re-blossoming of elegance. The dresses are almost all floral and the flowers are stylized in different ways by those recall Japan to those with a romantic mood and to conclude Elegance in Bloom refers above all to the woman “in bloom”.
In 2006 Daniela Danesi shows in New York with an exclusive collection dedicated to the history of femininity in American cinema, as part of a European project (P.L.A.I.T.T). From 2010 to 2012 he is technical partner of the Teatro di San Carlo; among the realizations the clothes of the chorus of white voices. In 2015 the Campania Region Authority confers the title of Master Craftsman. In 2017, the creative and manufacturing art Danesi first came to the Institute of Southern Culture under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and the Academy of Fine Arts then, in 2018 at Villa Fiorentino as part of the SorrentoYoungArt, an international contemporary art exhibition.
