Pomandère Fall-Winter 2022/23 – “NUANCES”
If I could live again my life, I’ll take fewer things seriously.
I’ll take more risks, I’ll take more trips, I’ll watch more sunsets. (Jorge Luis Borges)
The Comandare Fall-Winter 2022-23 collection turns its gaze towards the high and fascinating Mexican mountains, covered by the perpetual snow of their volcanoes, on the edge of the sky. The eyes immerse themselves in the variety of vividly colored sunsets that soften as they slide down the soft slopes.
What is more material, related to the colors and the solidity of the earth, of tradition, welcomes new experimental horizons.
Sustainability is the protagonist, with a capsule dyed exclusively with natural dyes, obtained from the infusion of fabrics with walnut and elderberry seeds. These dyes color the iconic Pomandère clothes with the clear will to impregnate his own identity and nature with increasingly aware and zero-impact processes.
The shades of colors and the characteristics of the fabrics outline three inspirational worlds of the collection with an authentic and precise narrative strenght.
The snow-capped volcanoes: it’s the first theme and comes from the suggestion that is created when the snow-capped peaks meet the sky. The soft tones of butter, coffee and grays are contaminated by blue and indigo. Denim has a special role and is declined in three fits – straight, balloon and flare – and in different fabric qualities in shades of indigo, natural bull and coal. The gilet is reinforced with the fur lining in knitted wool. The whiteness of the snow finds its expression in the warm and enveloping wools of the single-colored patchwork knitwear, in the doubled fabrics with a crèpe look and in the micro-weaves. The usual touch of romanticism and femininity is given by the clothes in silk satin with lace contrasts.
Mexican sunsets: they are told with the shades of rope, orange, burgundy and terracotta and create a color spot of strong impact and brightness, inspired by the suggestive vision of fiery sunsets.
In this theme has sample space the hammered, ribbed and quilted velvet declined in two special outerwear. The exclusive print in silk creponne, whose herringbone design draws inspiration by the irregular peaks of the mountains and the brightness of the sun’s rays, is translated into the lurex pinstripe, also present in the mohair wool tricot part. The pure wool knitwear, which finds its most special expression in a zipped cardigan worked in cob stitch, evokes that typical contemporaneity of the brand and its collections. The accessory in tricot, developed in a wide variety of materials and stitches, tastefully enriches every look.
The shades of the forest: the shades of green, olive and khaki blend and mix with the variations of ocher and oil, evoking the suggestions and shades of the forests. In this theme we find the striped texture: in the transversal velvet, in the micro-striped flannel, as well as in the jersey and mohair knitwear. The outerwear finds here strength in two unprecedented and strong impact developments, thanks to the jacquard loom stripe and the madras in a soft and warm mohair net.
The most special and feminine proposal is interpreted in fluid fabrics that differ in weight and brightness: from the garment-dyed habotai for the iconic shirts, to the cupro-modal which finds its most sophisticated representation in the brand new total black suit, up to the precious and opaque silk satin for the dresses. The theme is completed by the oversized jacket with belt combined with a wide short in the wool micro herringbone.
Everything is designed for a woman who knows how to choose her style consciously, in a world that she loves to discover but also wishes to protect.
